...hope I'm right. My guess would be looking at a westbound passenger on the B&O about to pass the tower at Manila, PA.

There are no notes on the photograph. I would guess it is number 9 the Chicago Express, a late afternoon Washington DC to Chicago train. Picture dates about 1950.

you gave the answer to quick. Have you seen or talked to Bill recently? I was thinking about him today. I have 2 prints he gave me on my wall, A Western Maryland Challenger 1208 pulling empties west at Frostburg,Md. the other a B&O Big 6, east bound at Keystone,PA. with mix freight.
