Barron (WI) Sub update at Weyerhaeuser, Wisconsin
Author: ngfan

Posing this report from pics a friend sent my way for this board update:

"I heard that another sand washing plant was going to be put on the Barron Sub line, went thru Weyerhaeuser this week and lo and behold, it's already there. The pics show that there is already loading going on, the shot with the transload operation is just east of the depot, in that area where the roundhouse and all the division point servicing area was years ago. The plant is on the east side of town, just on the outskirts, I assume that they'll build track off the Barron sub and do the loading there (?) I have no clue. In the pic of the plant, you can see the water tower in the skyline."

More info as it comes.

Plan is to eventually build a loop track at Weyerhauser so up to 100 car unit trains can be loaded with sand.
