CPL's orbit a "deathstar..."
Author: Forever-Railfan-45

Hope everyone had a good day...I worked the 0400-1600 shift today. Reported for work this am at 0340 and as soon as I pulled in rows of indigenous Akron personnel lined the street. Once I entered the ER I was greeted with about twenty uniformed Akron Police Officers. Turns out we had a shooting where a young man was shot fifteen times when he pulled into his driveway. Ended the day with the officer I was working with being knocked out of commission due to a pretty bad altercation up on psych; ever since St. Thomas closed we are seeing much more violent psych patients. They (doctors) thought he had ruptured his kidney but thankfully not...trains after work provide me with some solitude after days like these. First up is the Q359 with Illinois Central SD70 1025 on point...wanted to get the B&O CPL signals in the picture. Picture number two is of a closer up view and number three is of the Q015 being led by CN SD70ACe 8887. Thanks to FEC2000 for this heads up as he caught me literally on the way out of the hospital today...

Number four is of the Q353, another view of the CN SD70ACe and nice close up of the IC SD70...

Great stuff Carl, and that first one is "way out of the park" good . I have worked in ER's in big city hospitals too, and I'll add to what you said- it's not for the faint of heart. We have small arms fire here and there around some of the Columbus hospitals.among other things.

Carl, first off. Image 1 = IMOtheD. Secondly, we say thai you to out police officers and
fire men on a pretty regular basis, but, folks that work in positions such as yours also
deserve a heartfelt thank you. I don't think it's something I could do.

The snowplow that's on the front end of that IC standard cab SD-70 should be put on every new SD-70Ace--they could use them, physically and photogenically.

That top photo just might edge out Erie833's work for my own personal IOTD and IOTY (sorry RAD). This is very nice work.

Carl, you hit a home run with that first photo. It may be one of your best so far.
