Garrett Sub Good 'uns
Author: TrainCatcher

Spent the day fairly close to home with isolated thunderstorms in the midst most of the day. I managed to lens a few decent images on the CSX Garrett Sub between Concord and West Garrett of which I am showing six.

Eastbound CSX ethanol train, K427-28, passing by Custer Grain after a crew change at Garrett, IN with CSX' 8751 & 501 at 0752.

Eastbound Bakken oil train, K110-28 with BNSF' 9065 & 5454 handling a buffer car on either side of 98 oil tankers at E. Auburn on one track at 0911.

Eastbound ethanol train, K684-27 at Concord, IN with NS 9090 and CSX 8596 at CR 51 at 0829.

Spent the day fairly close to home with isolated thunderstorms in the midst most of the day. I managed to lens a few decent images on the CSX Garrett Sub between Concord and West Garrett of which I am showing six (2nd group of three).

Eastbound Q010-29 with CSX 999 leading CSX 76, 281 and nearly 8000' of intermodal cars including hot UPS traffic at Hanshoe's crossing at 1037.

Westbound empty ethanol train, K683, at West Garrett, IN with good stormlight in the eastern sky at 1840 powered by UP' 8541 & 6649.

Westbound CSX mixed freight, Q389-27, with CSX 7763 & 4805 and 5 new BNSF swooshes: 8280, 8281, 8282, 8283 & 8276 at Taylor road with more stormlight at 1907 coming in for a crew change.

A typical July day with lots of thunder clouds to dodge in order to find sun on the subjects.
