Forty Minutes at Royersford Today
Author: RDG630

Action on NS's Harrisburg Line at Royersford, Pa. Former Reading Company station still stands.
First ex-Reading GP40-2 #3674, now NS 3001, passes eastbound on local H49 (note drip strip on cab roof - unique to the Reading)
Second empty westbound coal train
Third NS 38G with CP third out eastbound

Hi Dale,
SEPTA needs to get passenger trains back to Reading with station stops at Pottstown and Royersford.
I saw the train with the CP unit go west this morning as a leader with what I thought was H68 at Mertztown station.Did they put those units on a different train at Reading? Neat pics by the way.

Good day on the Harrisburg Line.

Even during the Conrail days (when the traffic level was higher)....I can remember sitting out there for hours watching the rails rust.

As a side note, I heard 4 trains pass by last Sunday morning between 5 am and 11 am. I live about a mile from the HGB line near Phoenixville.
