This is what we have as of this Post Time – 06:48 PM EDT, 08/21/2014.

As of 08:20 AM EDT, Thursday morning, the James E. Strates Shows Carnival Train was passing through East Cleveland, OH. We have not been told the train’s route, so we are unable to provide any additional information at this time.

As of 02:39 PM EDT, The James E. Strates Shows Carnival Train is being routed through Columbus, Ohio. From Columbus, it will travel to Roanoke, VA via Charleston, WV before continuing on to Danville, VA. The JES Carnival Train won’t be anywhere near Fredericksburg, VA on this trip.

Is it travelling via CSX or NS? If NS, Wonder why they'd route it via Charleston instead of the much quicker Pokey route through Portsmouth and Bluefield?

Via NS - Power can be any livery, what is ever available by the carrier.

This train was said to have departed ROANOKE, VIRGINIA, eastbound, for the Danville, Va. area mid-morning, 8/22/14. They should be at least half way there by now, or thereabouts.

The confusion on the routing here arose because the Pokey does not go through Charleston. The reference to Charleston made me think that for some reason it was being sent via the NYC-Deepwater-VGN route rather than the Pokey....
