Present day Burning what it Hauls

Back in the day or today it's not good for a loco to smoke it up too much.

That's nothing, GE's are well known to throw flames as well. This smoke is normal as snow in the winter.

Back in the day it was normal for GEs to smoke, but now with the stringent emissions laws, not so much!!
No, That GE was getting sick!! Some shop time will be needed soon.

Bad injector(s) produce black smoke. Who reports this to whom and when? One thing's certain -- they don't get better left alone.

I realize this is a train locomotive, but In diesel-electric submarines we replaced 'em ourselves whenever the problem was noticed and we could have the engine to ourselves for a time. Jimmies were easy to fix.

I had a Dash 9 that a few weeks back that in 2 notch smoked 5x as much as this, to the point that you thought the engine was actually on fire
