"Phoebe Snow.....and rain"

It's the summer of 1966....the day is gloomy with a light rain falling.....and here she comes....EL's "Phoebe Snow" threading her way through the Poconos near Cresco, PA. Phoebe...you brightened my day!

A nice photo.

Did you turn around and take a "going away" shot of Phoebe Snow's observation car?

Jack...yes I got a shot of Phoebe's rear end...classy and nicely curved....and for you Dave Davies...too hot for you today? So you are at the computer waiting to pounce on my photos heavily armed with photo shop...thanks for the color correction on Phoebe!

yes ... went over to the club and the Park Super dropped by with a guy who was doing a free-lance video about the W&OD trail ... was only over there to test an engine, but wound up running trains for the camera for an hour ... :-)

One more from color negative, Erie E8A #828 with the Phoebe Snow, also in East Stroudsburg, Pa. A few scratches were on the negative.

Phoebe Snow's observation cars spent the 1970s on Long Island. If she tired of the Pocono Mountains, then the beaches of the Hamptons and Montauk or the harbor at Greenport provided a welcome change of scenery!
