"ECO's @ Elkhart..."
Author: aussiehinz

Spent an afternoon with good friends at Elkhart IN on Saturday, in hopes of perhaps catching the IT heritage unit leading a 21Z across the Chicago Line. Although the 1072 did not make it over our way until it was too late to get any more than a mediocre photo of it, seven brand new Canadian Pacific GP20C-ECO locomotives did brighten things up for us late in the afternoon.

Cheers,

aussiehinz

1. NS 365 with new CP ECO units, approaches Elkhart from the east at MP 417.

2. The bright red locomotives made for a dazzling sight on the Chicago Line.

3. A short while later, a second westbound rounded the sharp curve at Main Street with at train of double stacks.

The train with the CP-ECO's is probably 365 and the stack train with the 7645 is 21G.

Yes, of course. My apologies. I had the 21Z on my mind because it was led by the IT heritage unit we had sought at Elkhart. I appreciate the corrections & have amended the post.
