Has anyone ridden the QNS&L this year? I am wondering what equipment they are now using. I rode from Sept Isles to Schefferville and return two or three years ago on the RDCs they had been using. At the time, the owner, the Iron Ore Company of Canada, was reportedly in negotiations to replace them with other equipment, but not necessarily new equipment. The RDCs were not in very good shape, inside or out, and in the round trip, we lost two of the engines. For good and sufficient reason, in the winter they pulled the RDCs with a diesel. Winter?? It was the 9th of June, and we had snow at Schefferville, so it is a relative matter, I guess. At any rate, the operation is of interest, and I am wondering what may have have transpired. Thanks
