Pembroke Tunnel
Author: SI-Tower

I was down in SW Virginia last week and had some time to sit trackside. This is one of several trains I caught. I don't know the train symbol as my radio is a bit shaky and I don't get the reception so well.

Must be a short tunnel.  Not much smoke build up

The curves on that model railroad are too tight of a radius:)

Looks like 18M based on the consist. The 89' high cubes are probably carrying appliances, such as refridgerators, washers and dryers. For years GE had a plant here in the Norcross, GA area that loaded 89' high cubes with appliances. Not sure if they still do or not. They are also used to carry auto parts from part plants to the assembly plants. For example the parts for Ford Explorers were loaded into 89' hi cubes in Michigan and then sent east to Norfolk, VA for final assembly back when the Explorer plant was open, same with the Taurus / Sable plant in Hapeville, GA.
