Providence, RI: Apr. 28 - May 1

NOTE:  there are a great many venues left to add for the 2016 tour which will be added as they are "confirmed" during the rest of this year.

RAILFANS: look for major changes to the two rail tours beginning in May:  railcars will be swapped out or replaced, including some kind of new "Circus" flatcar type:  a 5-part, articulated SPINE FLAT, maybe one on each train... and the "COFC" flats for Concessions storage will soon be removed.  Also, with the ELEPHANTS being retired from both rail tours during May, we may see a chopping of the train-length on both Circus Trains.  Stay tuned for developments.

It is very possible; we will have details on where they will build their NEW Edition at that time.  For certain, major changes are in store:  including a possible down-sizing of the two trains, and/or elimination -- in another year or two -- of the Red Unit's show all together, if the "rumor mill" has any factual basis.

Actually, this coming MAY is when the elephant acts on both rail tours are to be retired and the animals shipped back to Florida, with the elephants trucked from the nearest rail siding to their new homes in central Polk County, where Feld Entertainment has its elephant conservation center.  I have been there on numerous occasions and can testify to the amazing love and care the animals have (and will) have at that site.  Be warned, everyone, that PETA and other animal rights groups are vowing now to continue until EVERY animal act is eliminated from every public venue/show in America.  We never stood up for it before now and are seeing the results:  their efforts are far greater than the public, since the public refused to stand up or else just turned a blind eye and deaf ear.  THE TIGERS ARE NEXT, according to all accounts, then equestrian (horse) acts, and then all the rest ... the sooner the better for the animal rights groups.

This is still not over, and I suspect the general public will stand up in arms if necessary to stop this senseless "political correctness" that has infected the United States of America.  We're dooming ourselves in not taking a stand, and this major change to The Greatest Show On Earth is just one step to oblivion for shows like this... and those such as are displayed at Busch Gardens, SeaWorld, and all the others.  What will we do next, folks?  .....Keep looking the other way, or stand up for Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey?
