A morning in Marion, Ohio - June 14, 2016
Author: btheaker

Visiting in-laws north of Columbus gave my son and I a chance to do what we would not miss when in the area - spend some time at Marion.  We saw 14 trains in just over three hours the morning of June 14 - nothing espcially noteworthy, but a nice steady stream of traffic.

There's a short video compilation at the end.  I had forgotten my tripod, so apologies in advance for some shakiness.

My son was intrigued by the flock of vultures dining on a groundhog that didn't make it across the N-S CSX tracks north of the station.   The three shots below are the flock scattering in front of a southbound.   A few of the vultures did not seem to be in a hurry to get out of the way.

All 14 trains are not in the video.
