Eastern Railroad Discussion > EMDX 1603 & 1604 on today's 31KDate: 07/23/16 11:52 EMDX 1603 & 1604 on today's 31K Author: dantat13 Hi guys, sitting in Schneider, IN I'M with NS 31K. The train has two BNSF leaders and in full BNSF paint with EMD markings are 1603 and 1604 waiting on heat patrol to clear up then it's off to Momence, and Kankakee and eventually Galesburg. Thought I give a heads up. luck!

Trains magazine stated a while ago that there'd be demonstrators in a range of colours...then people on TO said that UP had bought all the 1500 and 1600 demos...to be confirmed i guess. They may as well paint them to best sell them and take the hit to repaint them for UP when they get fitted out for UP.

Date: 07/24/16 08:10 Re: EMDX 1603 & 1604 on today's 31K Author: Grand87 If i remember correctly EMD/Progress rail/Cat stated they have orders for 200+ units SD70AceT4's. UP was the only railroad that we had confirmation from on a order. so now we can assume that BNSF has and order too .
