Eastern Railroad Discussion > A few RBBB circus chases over the last dozen or so years.Date: 01/16/17 05:34 A few RBBB circus chases over the last dozen or so years. Author: ddavies All chases are in VA, MD, WV or PA, except for my favorite, which was UP 3985 bringing the Blue circus to Denver.
Ringling Brother played three sites in the WDC area, WDC, Baltimore and Fairfax, VA. The second train would play Norfolk, Hampton and Richmond, which meant that in the spring, both trains would pass through the WDC area. http://members.trainorders.com/ddavies/Classic/Classic.htm Edited 1 time(s). Author: rbx551985 I remember that run behind the Challenger all too well: Union Pacific told us they'd never seen that many people chasing ANY of their excursion or freight trains anywhere on their entire system: we had an estimated 10,000 people out to see us that morning, with hundreds or perhaps thousands in the chase convoy all the way into Denver. 3 shots here were taken during that run........
