Eastern Railroad Discussion > UP 2595 UP 9031 West, Wednesday, May 24, 2017.Date: 05/24/17 17:28 UP 2595 UP 9031 West, Wednesday, May 24, 2017. Author: Ron The UP 2595 and UP 9031, with ten car Union Pacific Executive Fleet made a quick round trip dash across the CN (ex GTW) today, Wednesday, May 24, 2017.
The train left Griffith, Indiana, at about 7:00 AM EDST, en route to CN Moterm on the Holly Subdivision in Ferndale, Michigan, on the northern suburbs of Detroit. The train passed through Battle Creek before I was up and around, and I guess it arrived at Moterm at about 1:00 PM. After they did whatever they did, the train was then turned and headed back west to Chicago. I was able to catch the westbound train at Hall Road - MP 191.73 CN Flint Subdivision, Bellevue, Michigan, at about 6:30 PM., and again leaving Battle Creek, Michigan, at CN Emmett Street - MP 178.6 CN South Bend Subdivision, Battle Creek, Michigan, at about 7:05 PM. I've combined the two videos I took into one that's just over 1 minute and 17 seconds in length. I've put the second part first, it leaving Battle Creek. The video I got of it at Hall Road has the train flying low, and is almost nothing more than an Armor Yellow blur. The video has them in this order: UP 2595 UP 9031 West, Wednesday, May 24, 2017, at about 7:05 PM. At CN Emmett Street - MP 178.6 CN South Bend Subdivision, Battle Creek, Michigan. UP 2595 UP 9031 West, Wednesday, May 24, 2017, at about 6:30 PM. At Hall Road - MP 191.73 CN Flint Subdivision, Bellevue, Michigan. I'm still confused how this train travelled across the UP heading to Chicago and nobody mentioned seeing it anywhere! Ron You must be a registered subscriber to watch videos. Join Today! I was hoping this was going to mean the return of the Pacer stack train from Mexico. But it sounds like traffic from the west coast.
