Yesterday's Q603 with CSX GP60 ex-demonstrator unit, a high & wide load, and an idiot driver at Folkston, GA.

Interesting on the high-wide load that they had to add weights to one side of the car to balance the load.

It appears to me that the train was one of CSX's very long freights. This policy encourages drivers to take chances at crossings to beat the train to the crossing. So, in summary, this policy can cause accidents at crossings.

I guess not waiting less that 10 minutes for a train to pass justifies a much longer ride to the cemetery...makes perfect sense.

Seriously the train took 3 1/2 minutes to clear. If you are in that much of a rush to get to the hospital or morgue please do not force the crew to witness this act.

OH PLEASE!!!!

Tell that to the lady and her kids that couldn't wait for a slow train blocking a crossing so she drove through a parking lot to get to an adjacent crossing and around the gates only to be hit by an Amtrak on the other track.

Oh wait, she is dead.

Red flashing lights at a crossing mean STOP and stay STOPPED!
