Eastern Railroad Discussion > CN "non-CN" day

Some back-to-back trains on CN in Carbondale, IL this afternoon, but with no CN power to be had.

1. CEFX 1011 and GECX 7366 on NB M396
2. GECX 7366
3. PRLX 4835 on a NB grain empty. The second ex-CSX SD70ACe I have seen on the CN, #4831 the other.

Haven't seen a railroad get rid of a GEVO yet. Those SD70ACe's must be total garbage then if a railroad sells them off lol

CSX's ACes were total trash from a railroader perspective.  Load as heck, rattle traps, the relay for flashing the ditch lights clicked every time they flashed... oh the noise the noise the noise!

You never miss a chance to trash anything EMD. Do you even work with them?

Do the AC6000's count since they all had their HDL's replaced with "GEVO" engines?

No, but the guy below me seems to work with them and he has nothing nice to say about them either.

I don't hate EMD, but I do hate Progress Rail and what a joke the company and their locomotives have become.
