Eastern Railroad Discussion > NS 041's Toys for Tots train thru Valley Road

The sun was shining brightly as the NS 041 passed through the Valley Road grade crossing in Hillsborough (NJ) on Monday afternoon. In 041's consist was NS 7014 and NS 7030 providing the motive power. They were followed by PRR 5809, PRR5711, Juniata Terminal (JT) Pennsylvania, JT Warrior Ridge and JT Little Juniata Rapids trailing after serving as part of the consist for a NY Toys for Tots train. With an NS maintainer on site due to a false activation at the Valley Road crossing NS 041 would proceed slowly through the crossing and then would resume track speed.

Sounds like the rear car is developing a flat spot.

Is this track part of the Lehigh Line or the Port Reading branch?

Lehigh Line at MP 40 and just west of CP SULLY.
