Eastern Railroad Discussion > A Snowy Friday around Keyser, WV - 01 March 2019Date: 03/03/19 02:37 A Snowy Friday around Keyser, WV - 01 March 2019 Author: DTWilson Came out of the part-time gig just in time to hear the Defect Detector at 21st. Bridge Rd give the axle count of a westbound.... 944 axles.... Well, we know he's reducing tonnage at Keyser, WV. Snowing like the dickens but the roads were in decent shape, we head over to Keyser to see what's up.
1) E75-28 pulling ahead after dropping off their Conductor... they would set off 100 cars and the trailing two locomotives. 2) Little artsy shot while the emptyman tests his handbrakes "on the cars to be left standing"...... 3) A now reduced E750-28 westbound on 17-Mile Grade at Bloomington, MD ... more to follow ... Date: 03/03/19 02:40 Re: A Snowy Friday around Keyser, WV - 01 March 2019 Author: DTWilson 1) Another emptyman right on the heels of first one .... E784-28 westbound at Bloomington, MD on 17-Mile Grade.
2) and 3) Q316-28 eastbound descending 17-Mile Grade crossing the Potomac River between Bloomington, MD and Beryl, WV. ... More to Follow ... Date: 03/03/19 02:46 Re: A Snowy Friday around Keyser, WV - 01 March 2019 Author: DTWilson 1) Q316-28 passing a Surfacing Gang working on the Keyser Industrial Park lead.
2) Eastbound after stopping in Keyser, WV to pick up the outbound paper mill traffic, Q316-28 at Bull Neck Curve. 3) With a crew that taxi'ed out of Cumberland, MD. The 2 motors and 100 cars that E750 had set out in Keyser earlier are now going west under the symbol U054-01 at Bloomington, MD. After all this it's time to get to work at the #1 job to make a few dollars to pay the bills... Thank You for looking ! Tim W. Edited 1 time(s). Last edit at 03/03/19 02:47 by DTWilson.
