Piedmont Ramblings.....NS over the hills
Author: mp208

NS B Line:  March 5, 2019. A rail replacement window on this heavily used single track bunches up the trains on this Tuesday midday. The Herzog train is in the clear for five freights  Oh well.....we'll try again tomorrow.  Who can give us technical info on this Herzog "locomotive"

You didn't show what was behind 7591.  ;-)

So that was you parked by the tracks.  I drove past twice going to the B23.

The Piedmont B-Line District   Manassas VA to Edinburg VA Mile Posts B 1.0 to B79
Believe it cross's over the Pocahontas Division Hagerstown District at Riverton Junction.

One of these MPM (Multi Purpose Machine) was working the Georgia Division in late December and January 2019.
I did a couple of posts on it.

There is also a good video on the Herzog site on this units operation.

Thanks for sharing.

The first train, 211 I believe, was only showing single stacks. Was that chance or is there a reason for that?

First time I have seen 211 without doubles.  No clue.

Appreciate it. We did not see the whole train. Maybe it had some double's further back.
