Eastern Railroad Discussion > BNSF O-TOPBIR1 -06 Masters BoundDate: 04/09/19 09:09 BNSF O-TOPBIR1 -06 Masters Bound Author: NSSpike For the last several years the annual run of the Burlington Northern Santa-Fe Business Car train from Topeka KS to Augusta GA always ran through west Georgia during the early afternoons. Not the case this year!! The move over the NS Birmingham's East End District was planned for 4pm central on April 8. Not exactly sure when it departed Birmingham but it wasn't until 12:15am on April 9th that it arrived in Villa Rica Georgia at MP 669.9. And not before they had to deal with the Tallapoosa detector at MP 697.9 going off. Not sure what the cause was but from what I could gather it may have had something to do with condensation drainage from one of the cars AC unit??
As a result of the night time run I was left to video this years annual run. In any case I stuck it out and captured the train as it headed east through downtown Villa Rica Georgia. Was not expecting it and about crapped myself when I realized what it was. Not being a golf freak, had no idea it was on it's way to Georgia for a Spicoli "Hey Bud, let's party" event.
