Eastern Railroad Discussion > Would someone call me a cab?Date: 09/16/19 19:13 Would someone call me a cab? Author: wa4umr I came across these about two weeks ago in the Louisville yard of the Paducah and Louisville. I' have no idea what's going on here. I couldn't see inside without trespassing but from what I could see, the prime mover, the generator, and other items had been removed. They didn' seem to have traction motors.
The next day I saw them again on their way to Danville, Ky. and points beyond. John Date: 09/16/19 19:19 Re: Would someone call me a cab? Author: NSDash9 Those are chopped NS SD70's 2512 and 2545, stripped down by Progress Rail at Mayfield, KY. They were then shipped to Progress Rail at Muncie, IN, where they are being rebuilt as NS SD70ACC's 1839 and 1842.

So, what's going on here? I'm assuming a trip to the scrapper, but I don't know. John Date: 09/16/19 22:55 Re: Would someone call me a cab? Author: 2720 OK...You're a cab!!
