Maybe PSR can eliminate all curves next. Problem solved!

Did the coil car covers end up down the bank?

Extra attraction and excitement for Bridgeview B&B patrons, if anyone is there beside Keith...

Thank you for sharing. Any idea where the doublestack cars (in the third picture) originated? I did not realize there was any intermodal handled on the Buffalo Line.

Sharp curve, empty cars. This curve has had its share of stringlines

They look like the trash containers now being loaded at the old auto yard in Ayer, MA.

Both NS and CSX are having stringline events....PSR does not allow for proper car placement. Way too much tonnage behind empty flats.

Lol...

Another derailment that could have been prevented..??!!

This isn't rocket science. Anyone ever derail their model trains?? The general principles involved are similar...

Can anyone tell us how close to the head end the derailed cars were?

This has been discussed before.  These so called "Intelligent" people running the railroads today lack good common sense.  They will try all kinds of impractical tricks to try to save money.  This PSR is coming back and biting them in the A___.  In the bygone days of railroading, empty flat cars along with other lighter empty cars were never placed up in the front of a long heavy train.  These Bozos will never learn.

I assumed at first that the train involved would be 35A which has grown to be a monster some days, and I believe derailed twice on Horseshoe this year.

Thanks for the quick photos!

Richard Anderson (yea, the guy u all hate), was agast at the industry's cavalier attitude toward accidents... like it is an acceptable or unavoidable part of doing business.  Or else the RR's  just consider it cheaper to have accidents than to fix the issues.   Im shaking my head...
