Eastern Railroad Discussion > Three more around the AC&WDate: 06/28/20 18:11 Three more around the AC&W Author: srman Here's three more that some of you might find interesting around the AC&W. A line of stored CN units. A light power move with a UP painted switcher and finally if you look real hard you'll see a NS F unit that they bought sitting out side their shops in Candor N.C.
Date: 06/28/20 18:42 Re: Three more around the AC&W Author: steamloco They got at least 1 Ohio Central F unit in the shop too. Last time I was there they were rebuilding it on the side when they had time to work on it. Engine was in poor shape then.
Date: 06/28/20 19:47 Re: Three more around the AC&W Author: ctillnc Speculation was that ACWR bought the ex-CN units in anticipation of taking over some CSX lines in North Carolina. Didn't happen, or at least it hasn't happened yet.

Date: 06/29/20 07:47 Re: Three more around the AC&W Author: srman In reference to those two cars attached to the display geep. No they are still unpainted with no indentifing markings.
Date: 06/29/20 14:34 Re: Three more around the AC&W Author: scraphauler The two box’s are Wabash heritage I think. They and the PRR bag are survivors they picked out of the great dumpster fire that was the Indiana Transportation Museum.

Z Date: 06/29/20 20:30 Re: Three more around the AC&W Author: srman I didn't see any CNW F units however I don't know what was inside their shop.
