The new CN business car scheme?
Author: New773

I haven’t read anything about this, so I guess this is new news. The three cars at the ex-IC Homewood shop look like they're staged for some presentation. I think you’d need to heavily trespass to get any good shots of these.

Very distinctive looking, I have not heard anything about it either. It will be interesting to see if they can keep the white clean and shiny.
You definitely got a special shot. kind of a WOW moment if you didn't know about it in advance.

Some similarity to the R&N F unit livery: https://www.flickriver.com/photos/doubledphotos/50088158001/

Interesting that "Fraser Spirit" has a CN # while "Sandford Fleming" * has an IC #. The number on the "American Spirit" dome looks to be CN99.

* Sandford Fleming was engineer-in-chief of the Intercolonial Railway, which became part of CN, and Chief engineer of the Canadiuan Pacific.

I just happened to be in the area, and usually make a trip around the yard to see what there is to see. The CN building usually has some cars parked around it, but today there were cars parked everywhere.

Does CN still own an E or two? I think the two gray IC E’s were sold, but do they still have two CN green/black E’s? I didn’t see any sign of anything else painted like this.

Very nice! Looks like a former NP or GN dome car?

Actually I'm sorry to see them moving away from the previous black and green scheme which was very remenisicent of the old CN passenger car scheme.  Oh well.

The green, maple leaf scheme was old and dowdy when CN got rid of it 60 years ago this month....

Just go with the standard passenger scheme. IMHO just as clean and modern today as it was in January 1961.

They more or less reversed the 1960 paint scheme, added some red pinstripes.

Tone down the font size of the Name and Numbers....and it might look OK.
