hope the cab of 7 is not as bad inside as it looks outside ,

Looks like the loco got all new sets of wheels and traction motors.

Hope she pulls better then she looks. CSX got much younger road power in storage but they beating this Ole horse to death.

These locos have been "rode hard and put away wet"....

They can still pull, just worn out.

As one of the first CW44ACs, I'd assume this is due for a CM44 rebuild into the 7000 series?

The cab looks like that because it was originally numbered 9106... When they patch-renumbered it to 7, they repainted that whole portion, then that part faded much faster than the rest of the unit in the 26 years since...

Being unpainted and mechanically pretty dire...it will either be rebuilt sold or scrapped....
