RS18 on the move
Author: VaCentralRy

Despite the light rain, couldn't resist seeing the Delmarva Central-Norfolk Southern interchange today.  DCR HA-1 is going south onto the northern end of Clayton siding after picking up its 37 cars from NS local K64.   The DCR is now leasing some covered hoppers for an online customer.

Hmmm, it's not the 74 cars NS's K64 is taking north from the DCR that is drawing the interest nor having three big NS locomotives instead of the usual two.

Delaware Coast Line 182  (built 10/62 as CN 3124.  Serial #83189). The DCL acquired it in 1994.  It is headed to the Cuyahoga Scenic so it should be of interest heading west. DCL did not have its contract renewed in 2018 and the Delmarva Central took over operations on its two lines:  Ellendale-Milton and Georgetown-Lewes (cut back to Cool Spring at the end of 2017).

As the last Alco 251 power departs the Delmarva Peninsula, it proudly advertises.

Glad the RS-18's  going to a good alco home.    Getting harder and harder to find alcos diesels  in revenue freight service, tho.
D-L, MAN, (other GVT roads?), ALM, CNYK. battenkill,  I guess there are a number of shortline/industrials with 1 or 2 units.

Not sure where the CVLX reporting mark came from. CVLX May have been the old reporting marks from when it was the Cuyahoga Valley Line, but I cant find it on the current reporting marks list. This operation is now the Cuyahoga Valley Scenic Railway with reporting marks of CVSR.
