NS OCS Southbound at Berryville

Yesterday Norfolk Southern train 955, an office car special, headed south out of the siding at Berryville, Virginia on the Ex-N&W Shenandoah Valley Line after meeting northbound train 274.

I don’t have any firsthand knowledge but it is the right time of year for the move so I assume your idea is correct.

Is the second car "Sandy Creek"?  Is that ex-New York Central?  Don't recall ever seeing that before in an OCS consist.

The crew that brought down the OCS on the NS Lurgan got taxied back to pick up a tied down 11Z.......

That is RPCX 800321, originally an NYC car, which is owned by former NS CEO Wick Morman.

You're welcome - I was actually kind of on the fence about going out for it (no more F-units, rainy weather, getting dark late in the day), but figured why not.  I originally went to Cedarville for it but then heard it was meeting 274 at Berryville and 274 wasn't moving at the time due to a PTC issue so I figured I'd go up to Berryville before it got much darker.

They put the observation car in the wrong spot though, nice looking train anyway!
