Eastern Railroad Discussion > CSX coal train derailment in central Virginia, near StrathmoreDate: 01/07/25 15:26 CSX coal train derailment in central Virginia, near Strathmore Author: rbx551985 This morning an eastbound CSX coal train, ID C200-04, derailed at least 11 cars (some reported more than 11) on the James River line near milepost 61.2, which is close to Strathmore, Va. This will undoubtedly tie up the route for at least a day or two. This is unfortunate, as it's also the detour route for traffic normally running on the Clinchfield RR.
