No...not a steam doubleheader....Rather, a pair of Penn Central diesels smoking up Dewitt Yard in Syracuse, NY....1971.

Cinder, those look like "Honerary Steam Engines;" i.e., ALCOs. Gerry

I hear that term when the street gangs clash in Washington, DC; just before the gunfire errupts.

And in 1982 at Fort Jackson....Army now officially smoke free so doubt one would hear it now.

Also first heard by me in Fort Jackson, S.C., but a long time before 1982. Basic training, March, 1943. Every ten minute break included this phrase. I had not started to smoke then but got over it Europe a while
later.
