Why was CSX CW44AC #135 "NASCARRED?"

I have seen this before on other loco's too.

Somebody was unhappy because they had to run trains instead of going to the races?
Glad you are having time to get out and see the trains. Enjoy while you have time, keep posting your pics. I am way to busy to get out right now, but today my boss told me I needed to go trainwatching, he knows I have been working too hard. Hope to get to the jct when weather improves.

Roger on the wrecks. It seems like they and CSX are trying to outdo each other.

I'd like to see CSX #8 and #24 race each other...

I'll bet that race would make for a lot of smoke!

I'd like to see two CSX engines stay running long enough to make it a race...

Here is another "CSX NASCAR Loco" on a northbound hoppertrain on the Clinchfield at Huntdale, NC.

If the link doesn't work, just copy and paste it.

I know of two shop "persons" who take it upon themselves to write this on engines when they cycle through Huntington. Both are major NASCAR crazy and had to take time off when Dale died just to come to terms. On one visit to HLS about two years ago, every loco in the shop had this on their nose..............

And there is some pundit who calls himself "Dilly Dally" who autographs every hot box intruction card found in our cabs.
