Brighter Flashlight?

Does anyone have any tips on what kind of bulbs to use in the NS flashlight that make it brighter? I bought some at Wal-Mart, but they didn't last very long. Any help would be appreciated!!!

Usually a halogen bulb called PR-3 improves the performance of a flashlight. But you didn't say how many batterys the light takes.(Two batts = three volts)
