YES! Those are very cool. Love the grey/orange "I-O" paintscheme. Could also use some SD40's in that paint as well! Hope they'll survive the cyclone bearing down on that region of australia. .

Very Cool!! Might convince me to buy a T55 unit.

Would that be called the 'Outback Camouflage' scheme?

Nope, that was Larry. The one hitting now isn't too far away:

"Australia's remote northwest shore was lashed by 80 mph winds as Cyclone Glenda made landfall Thursday, officials said. There were no immediate reports of substantial damage.

Glenda hit the sparsely populated Pilbara coast of Western Australia state, about 620 miles north of the Western Australia state capital Perth, said Bureau of Meteorology manager Grahame Reader.

The cyclone, a Category 4 with winds up to 155 mph near its center, was expected to take several hours to pass over land because its course was running almost parallel to the coast, Reader said.

Glenda hit the sparsely populated Pilbara coast of Western Australia state, about 620 miles north of the Western Australia state capital Perth, said Bureau of Meteorology manager Grahame Reader.

Onslow, a fishing town of more than 800, was likely to bear the brunt of the cyclone's force.

"We are asking people to stay indoors and to seek shelter," said Jim Cahill, an operations manager with the Fire and Emergency Services Authority of Western Australia.

The coastline is home to few major towns but many large mining complexes. One of Western Australia's major iron ore ports shut down operations on Wednesday."

Sorry to say that if you want these you'll have to ante up some green. I just talked to Brian at Tower and they are only doing these in brass. The body and detail parts are so different from the other SD70ACe's that it is virtually impossible to do them at an affordable price without killing the details. He acknowledged the complaints about the current models being $299 and said that these would have to be significantly more in order to do them correctly. With that in mind, he said that people would probably not be likely to buy them and they'd be stuck with a fair amount that wouldn't sell.

While these are sweet looking locos, don't look for them in the Tower 55 line.

Those ARE sharp looking :) Anyone know what those two flat looking pieces on the outside
of the ditchlights on some of the units are? One photo of 4302 has them, and another one
of the same unit doesn't. Gotta love those funky "windscreen protectors" too.

I happened to recall where I put them and pulled two pages for you, you'll probably need to scale some but they're pretty decent. If you have the Diesel Era issues that had pics in them you're right there.
I'm gonna contact someone about making me some kits for them.
All I need now is a C-636 in plastic (Hey Stewart !!!!!)

TCS - rare moments of nice
