CB&Q SW1000's

I see that Athearn paints the CB&Q SW1000's in two different paint schemes. Can anyone tell the story as to why?

Thanks,

AFAIK, CB&Q 9314 was caught in a roundhouse fire in Omaha in February 1969 and was repaired, repainted and released in June 1969 in a late "simplified" paint scheme with white stripes. I believe this was the only SW1000 repainted. I'm not sure if any older switchers were repainted this way.

9314 was a one only ... no other Q motor was painted the same way.

Thanks to both of you for the answer(s). I always liked the looks of these engines in the original scheme.
