Ya I saw that in the Scalerails, thought I'd relay the message.

Pure speculation, but I'd expect:

Something 'big' from ExactRail
Something from BMLA, maybe more numbers for the TopGons?
New Atlas GP40-2s, maybe the Wide Cabs that were shown a while ago?
New Athearn

Anything else?

Athearn is set to announce a new semi in HO scale. I'm hoping of a new GE locomotive.

Basically, no real announcements, just a display of what has already been announced.
given that I was able to see the GP40-2L and SP variant up close last month.
Aside from all that, well.... yawn.

The event is only a short drive away, so I'll attend the public show with camera in hand.
I'm hoping Athearn has a pre-production GP15-1 shell on display.

Comment most often heard by manufacturers at these shows:
"...that's nice...what's next?"

Ads for the next run of BLMA Top Gons in HO have already appeared in some of the model railroad rags.

What mystery? It's Fox Valley Models for the ES44 in N Scale - announced at the N Scale Convention in Portland a few days back.

I can personally attest to that. Whenever we announce a new product, we get a flurry of emails. A couple of people say "nice work - looking forward to it." The rest say "so when are you doing X?" Sometimes the logical leap is pretty huge. When we announced our first passenger cars I got a call asking, in these exact words, "so does that mean you're doing the RDC4?" I still don't know what he was smoking.

Many of the people who send these emails or make these comments haven't bought a model train in decades, if ever.
