Model Railroading > Joshua Tree Product AnnouncementDate: 07/07/10 22:51 Joshua Tree Product Announcement Author: webmaster Mason has completed his first run of HO scale Joshua trees and is now offering them for sale on his web site at http://www.mstrains.com
The trunks were cast in tin and the trees have been hand painted to ensure an authentic, realistic depiction of the yucca that is common to the Southwest Deserts of the United States. He has 12 sets ready for immediate shipping. If these trees are well received he hopes to release them in other scales next year. For those who might accuse me of using child labor to build these I need to relay that this is Mason's project. I had no part in the project except for building his web site and driving him around to pick up various components to build them. He hand built and painted every tree. Here is a link to an earlier discussion of his product: http://www.trainorders.com/discussion/read.php?3,2201452 Todd Clark Canyon Country, CA Trainorders.com Date: 07/08/10 06:51 Re: Joshua Tree Product Announcement Author: brfriedm They look incredible. Well done. If I could use these trees on my layout, I would order up in a second. Good luck.

Hey, Bruce, it's your railroad! If you want to have Joshua trees in Delaware, you can! :D Date: 07/08/10 11:20 Re: Joshua Tree Product Announcement Author: MojaveBill Almost like the real thing - for true realism, a puncture from one of the sharp ends of the fronds would have to be really painful and get infected!!

John Gezelius Tustin, CA Date: 07/08/10 14:19 Re: Joshua Tree Product Announcement Author: P5r24 I've ordered a set (for starters) and can't wait to get them.
Gary Date: 07/08/10 23:25 Re: Joshua Tree Product Announcement Author: Harlock You gotta have those on your layout, Bill. If we ever get around to building the MTM diorama we can use them there too.

Roger Beckett Date: 07/09/10 10:05 Re: Joshua Tree Product Announcement Author: spike You will probably see N scale trees before the end of the year. I may also produce them in O scale but that depends on how many requests I receive.

LK (the Joshua tree looks great) Date: 07/09/10 11:47 Re: Joshua Tree Product Announcement Author: spike I am considering it sometime down the road. If I do make them, they will have all the grooves in them. They will then be painted a lighter shade of green in the grooves and a darker on the top of the grooves, just like the real thing!
