Model Railroading > Help! a substitute for Pullman Green paintDate: 05/23/11 07:50 Help! a substitute for Pullman Green paint Author: BN7150 My friend is looking for something a substitute for Pullman Green paint.
He want as a aerosol can. We, in Japan, cannot get American railroad spray cans of Floquil or Scalecoat. I think there is a similar one in the military colors, example Standard color upper surface U.S. Army aircraft, WW II RAF camouflage color or Luftwaffe camouflage color. Please tell us your recommendation. Thank you very much any idea. Date: 05/23/11 09:47 Re: Help! a substitute for Pullman Green paint Author: bnsfsd70 Is there anything in the Tamiya line? I've used their spray cans with great success.

AS-30 Dark Green 2 RAF - 100ml Spray Can Paul Liddiard Spanish Fork, UT Date: 05/23/11 13:30 Re: Help! a substitute for Pullman Green paint Author: grahamline '40s German aircraft used a dark green in some schemes that would be a close match. Look for "dunkel-grun" or "schwarz-grun" or something similar in Tamiya's military line.

I think the green said by grahamline is maybe Tamiya AS-24. We can get them easily and will try to use. I've just bought a "Tamiya color Guide Book" which has posted actual paint color chips. The chips have been taken in comparison with a GGD sleeper model color. What do you think? White balance is wrong? Date: 05/24/11 08:34 Re: Help! a substitute for Pullman Green paint Author: grahamline Not quite sure what to think. The AS-24 looks more green and less black than seems correct for the Luftwaffe color. Perhaps you could check other paint lines that are available to you.

The following is a correct picture. I can not believe this strong resemblance between AS-24 and Pullman Green. AS-23 Light Green, Luftwaffe camouflage color AS-24 Dark Green, Luftwaffe camouflage color |
