Model Railroading > Bowser to announce HO scale C430 @ TrainFestDate: 11/08/12 18:55 Bowser to announce HO scale C430 @ TrainFest Author: RuleG According to the 11-8-12 ModelRailroader.com newsletter, Bowser will be announcing a run of the C430 in HO scale. Although, there were never many of these, I always thought they were cool-looking Centuries with the box behind the cab (like the C636s) and the high-adhesion trucks (although not for the Reading). The original owners were Green Bay & Western (1), New York Central (10), Reading (2) and Seaboard Coast Line (3). Successor railroads which owned them included Penn Central, Conrail, Susquehanna, Louisville & Nashville, Western New York & Pennsylvania and Morristown & Erie.
Around 30+ years ago, Tyco and Alco Models produced HO scale models of these in plastic and brass, respectively. Other HO scale products to be announced at this weekend's TrainFest are New Orleans streetcars, & PRR H30 covered hoppers. Edited 2 time(s). Last edit at 11/08/12 20:22 by RuleG. KG Date: 11/09/12 05:11 Re: Bowser to announce HO scale C430 @ TrainFest Author: acltrainman For the C430, lets not forget SCL, they had the 3 ex Demo units. SCL 1275 even has "Pulling for You" on it. SCL 1275 is ex ALCO demo 1 and the 1276 is ex ALCO demo 2. The SCL 1275 is shot in Waycross, GA on 03/29/1975. The SCL 1276 was shot in Tampa, FL at the Uceta Shops on 11/02/1978.

I've been asking for replacement parts for several months now without any reaction. New product is nice but supporting current models would come first... I don't know if I can wait that long.

One thing not shown is the excellent version done by OMI on the C430. Just to draw the analogy to the OMI C636 which was also a very good model; there doesn't seem to be alot of them coming up on ebay even though the Bowser is coming.
