DUPX 12405 8 axle tank car model

When built, this car was a high pressure, insulated tanker. It was rebuilt into a 38,273 gal. very large Ethylene Glycol hauler. The outer skin and insulation were removed and a manway and bottom drain added. The original heating pipes were left intact, although no longer used.I don't know what it originally hauled, but do have a photo of it as new. It doesn't even resemble the rebuilt car.

Bobby,

The detail of your tank cars is just insane!

The patience is beyond belief, I know from some of the kit-bash engine jobs.  That is true craftsmanship at work.

Thanks guys, I'm glad you like the model. I painted it with Model Master gloss black and weathered it with Bragdon powders after a coat of Dull Cote.

There is an incredible amount of talent on this site, proven time and time again by the photos we get to enjoy but I will admit that when I see Tankcarsrule, I make sure to always check the post immediately.  Great modeling again Bobby; terrific job.
