A couple of images from the Portland Show today
Author: M-420

I'm a little surprised that no one has posted anything from the NMRA show in Portland.
There was/is a lot of interesting stuff to be seen. Here are a couple of phone grabs that I took of models that were of interest to me:

Rapido was displaying a rough test shot of it's RDC. Note that it is a see-through model with all of the mechanism hidden from view.
I've included an image of some of the detail parts for individual roads. Note the SP numberboad set. The model will also have headlights, class lights and interior lighting.

Apologies for the image qulity. I should have brought my camera.

Bowser had test samples of CPR painted SD40-2's (the fans will not be black on the final version, for example).
They also had test shots of their M636's and M630's. These should be out in 2016.

They also had the latest run of C430, including the Demos (again) and the "almost was" Rock Island version.

The C415 is a go, but they will likely be run in 2017.

The CP "snoot" looks pretty nice.  How is Bowser on their reliability for motor and running gear?  Thanks in advance.

I remember Action Red as more orange, or did it fade to that?

It seemed a little too red to me also, but you never know when looking at color (or colour for our Canadian friends) when looking under fluorescent lighting. under proper lighting, it's probably fine and it's a pilot run regardless.

The lighting in the show hall is pretty nasty stuff that isn't friendly to accurate color rendition. You would need to bring your own lighting to get close.

You should say "colour" for those who want to spell it in English.    :)

And of course the Action Red that Bowser used on their MLW's was dead on. I'm not worried about it at all.

The red on the SD40's faded a few years after delivery.
