Model Railroading > Atlas ATSF SD-35s and GP-38 High-NoseDate: 09/25/01 19:21 Atlas ATSF SD-35s and GP-38 High-Nose Author: atsf2399 Did Santa Fe actually run SD-35's and GP-38 Hi-noses as represented by the 1970s Atlas models? According to the All-Time Diesel Roster on the ATSF Internet Resource Center, Santa Fe did not run SD 35s, but maybe the list is incomplete. I haven't been able to find any pictures of ATSF high-nose GP38's like the Atlas model.
Thanks for any info. Date: 09/25/01 19:35 RE: Atlas ATSF SD-35s and GP-38 High-Nose Author: trainz I believe Santa Fe ran neither. I do think they ran the SD24 (made by atlas).
Date: 09/25/01 20:21 RE: Atlas ATSF SD-35s and GP-38 High-Nose Author: tracktime ATSF never rostered any SD35s or *high-nose* GP38s, nor did they ever own any *high-nosed* SD24s. ATSF however, did roster low-nosed SD24s and low-nosed GP38s, as well as GP39-2s and a few GP38-2s that were inherited from the TP&W. Best Regards, Harry |
