I believe that GrandeGold has a B&W picture of the ex-CZ baggage car on the RGZ at Provo taken sometime in the early to mid 1970's.

Would have been nice if the baggage car would have been made available as a stand alone purchase.

Not everyone has the disposable income to purchase an entire train set for just one ca.

The Coach Yard has a website.

For the RGZ:

The D&RGW Baggage car is available as "stand alone only" - see our website.
It is not part of the set !

The CZ baggage car is not part of the Rio Grande Zephyr project. It was run with the along with the Budd cars for a different project.

Yes its a shame the P-S combine isnt a stand alone. That ine car has been a porular subject over the years.

This car was done by Division Point de-skirted - We did not see the need for it was made in 2018 !
Division Point did not do a skirted one and our set is 1971

We are portraying  the "1971 D&RGW ZEPHYR" we are not doing something that represents a time period for now as you point out  - skirts or no skirts -  blomberg trucks - or P trucks- speed lettering or standard -  and on and on !
we can't please everyone and do not try - We present a Train (in this case - the inaugural one) and that's it. !
So,  as Popeye says 'It is what it is - and that's it "

One of the combines had the skirts removed in the 1960's and there is a photograph of it on the Yampa Valley Mail deskirted in Rio Grande Diesels Vol 1 book by Joseph Strapac.  Here are photo's of each 1230 and 1231 taken in 1972:

http://rr-fallenflags.org/drgw/drgw-cb1230jpa.jpg

http://rr-fallenflags.org/drgw/drgw-cb1231jpa.jpg

You can see 1231 has no skirts and it is highly unlikely they were put back on so the photo in the 1960's with no skirts had to be #1231, it would not have had skirts in 1971 either.  The appropriate road number for the skirted model combine in the set would need to be #1230 - it is listed in the PDF as #1231.

> we can't please everyone and do not try

Sure, understood.  But you can please a much broader range of customers using the de-skirted combine #1230.  The core 8 car set with the deskirted combine would be good for most of 1973 to 1983

I realize you posted this topic to publicize the future offering, but when you commented about making corrections, it seemed now is the time to offer comment.

And people wonder why the number of brass model importers has gone down...

Very true.

Its no more apparent than this exact run. I was very much hoping to support this company.

if you listened to your customers (or even knew the market), you would have made the combine available as a stand-alone.

If anyone needs a photo of the de-skirted combine #1231, follow this link to a photo taken in 1967 on the Yampa Valley; Very likely the same train featured in a photo in Rio Grande Diesels Vol 1.

https://www.trainorders.com/discussion/read.php?11,4620413,4797821#msg-4797821

Being that there are links to photos of both #1230 (with skirts) and #1231 (no skirts) both taken in 1972, in an earlier post, that is strong evidence that the 1971 RGZ combine in the CY set should be numbered as #1230, rather than #1231 as in the PDF
