Model Railroading > A Girl and Her Ponies display at BAPM 2019Date: 06/17/19 10:50 A Girl and Her Ponies display at BAPM 2019 Author: Cindy_Winters Attached are a couple of photos of my display at the BAMP meet this last Saturday. In the first photo on the left is a D9-40C Top Hat kitbash from Atlas and Kato shells. Next, in the middle is an AC44C6M kitbash from Walthers and Kato shells. On the far right is my SD70ACU project with a Kato SD90/43 unit and a Walthers SD70ACE shell. In the background is my operating fleet of n scale Norfolk Southern equipment. The second photo is a second view of the display from the end. I had a great time meeting old friends and making new ones. This display is almost identical to my display at the San Bernadino meet back in April. If I haven't met you yet, I hope to meet you soon at another modeling event soon. Bill Deaver Tehachapi, CA Date: 06/18/19 07:31 Re: A Girl and Her Ponies display at BAMP 2019 Author: Cindy_Winters Dear SPDRGFan, unfortunately, I didn't publish an article about kitbashing a Santa Fe locomotive. I did publish articles on kitbashing UP, C&NW, SP, NS and DRGW. Perhaps it was Brenda Bailey that published the article, as she was a great SF modeler and published many articles.

She won the Model Railroader young author contest in 1988, I think with the Santa Fe kitbash he is referring to. I don't remember her maiden name, that article was before she and Stephen were married.

Brenda Bailey doesn't ring any bells, but Mike Peters got to the bottom of it; my memory was partly correct save the last name! I was mostly a Model Railroader magazine reader back in the 80's. What publications were your articles in? Date: 06/18/19 17:14 Re: A Girl and Her Ponies display at BAMP 2019 Author: Cindy_Winters Here is the list of my published articles in Railroad Model Craftsman:
Sept 1995 - Kitbash SP SD39 Nov 1995 - Modern Graffiti July 1997 - Kitbash C&NW Dash 8-40C Feb 1998 - Superpowered SD90/43AC April 1998 - Kitbash D&RGW 6500 series narrow gauge flatcar August 2000 - Kitbash NS D9-40C Top Hat Date: 06/19/19 05:29 Re: A Girl and Her Ponies display at BAMP 2019 Author: SPDRGWfan Thanks Cindy.
