Date: 04/04/20 19:43 Re: Hard water and decals Author: fbe Distilled water runs about $1/gallon at grocery stores, discount stores, all over the place. It is perfect for decals and acrylic paint thinner. Water in my house is hard so distilled keeps residue from forming on decals.

It's cheap, as noted in another post, and seems to really help! Maybe you have some water different from ours. Never used water paint so I can not comment on that.
