Radiator Screen Covering

Anyone have any tips on how to replicate the screen covering seen on some Alco RS3 & RS11 radiator louvers at the end of the long hood. I'm doing a pair of HO Scale LV RS3's & would like to attempt modeling this aspect of the locos appearance. Lehigh Valley had them on most of their RS units as did the Reading.
