I had a Athearn rotary plow that I bought about 50 years ago. It had rubber band drive, but I converted it to electric with a old motor from a slot car and had the power pick up from a EMD BL2. Sold it years ago because I went to N Scale.

Just think of all the sound equipped DCC engines you can buy for the price of the plow.

Will the F7B also be tooled, or will it come from an existing manufacturer - such as Athearn Genesis, Intermountain, Walthers Proto, etc?

$250.00 + locomotive's and now this at $1,400, with dealer discounts, $999.00?, no wonder the hobby is hurting.....I'll stick with my re-powered Athearn from the Blue Box era! Pro Finished, it's a dip job, how can that be "Pro Finished", nothing hard to paint on a dip job.....

Brass has been pricey since day one, but feel free to keep complaining about it if it makes you feel better.

If folks want these and can afford them, enjoy. No need to fixate on the price. Just because others can afford them or do not mind paying for them, it's all good.
