the other day. These photos show 3014 with short train at various locations on the layout. Unit has plenty of pulling power and sounds are accurate with Rio Grande Nathan M3 horn. IIRC, I heard in MU consists, Rio Grande engineers preferred GP30's to lead other EMD units because the cabs were "engineered" well. In my Rio Grande books, it's not unusual to see GP30's leading tunnel motors or other EMD diesels.
