I have to say, that don't look half bad. Need to see it once you get it painted.

I'll bring one of my 38-2's by the shop...it's finally ready to see daylight (and a critical eye). Those pictures dont do that unit justice.

Very nice work. Looks like you got the grills done quite cleanly.
Can't wait to see it painted!

Looking very good. At some point I will need to
do up a trio for Metra.

Anyway, a couple of questions, or details on the
details.

What did you use for the pilot, and what did you
use for the grills?

Unless I'm mistaken he used a product from S&S Hobby Products -- "Walthers F40PH Diesel Grills".

Thanks for all the great comment guys!

The pilot came from an Athearn F45 shell. I took the Walthers pilot off the shell and dteailed it on the workbench, then glued it back onto the model. The mu hoses and coupler lift bar brackets are Detail Associates and the coupler lift bar, handrails, and grabirons are all bent from .010" and .0125" phosphorus bronze wire. The fans are of coures from Cannon, and the grilles are from S&S Hobby. The Nathan P5A horn is bashed from a Calscale horn and is the most reasonable stand-in for the real horn. I still have to add antenna, beacon, class lights, and a few other parts.

This one will be painted in RTA colors. I will probably be doing another one for METRA.
