Dented nose on 197 as it passes by on Donner 9-18-06

116 has had a rough life. Caught on fire, busted up nose, and if I remember correctly they almost scrapped it a few years ago after it was involved in some sort of a collision.

Actually it is the 118 that had all of the above insults, and the collision was with a mushroom compost truck near Morgan Hill. Gave a whole new meaning to the s**t hitting the fan!! :-)

The 118 is indeed the one that caught fire. 116 collided with a listing tank car near Black Butte, CA derailing the Starlight.

197 was on train 194 hotographed at Williamsburg, VA, Sunday morning, but the sun was behind it.

For what it's worth, at least two of the "Starlight" P42's have gone supernova. The 120 caught fire before 118 did.
